Our Environmental and Peacebuilding Programs

Our programs are generally grassroots-oriented and when possible, center the voices and activism of those most affected by violent conflicts and environmental damage from climate change.

Our peace program grants seek to provide support for programs preventing and mitigating conflict through proven nonviolent methods. We support both professional peacebuilding practices and efforts by peacebuilders whose lived experience create viable alternatives to war and violence, leading communities toward peace with justice – this is what we call “positive peace.” We prioritize grassroots efforts that shift militaristic approaches toward inclusive approaches of peace.

Protect Mount Hood

Our historic connection to Mt. Hood and the surrounding area inspires us to support efforts to protect its rivers and forests.

Grant proposals are accepted by invitation only following a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) process.
